Tarot Tuesday
Today is 11.22.22. Tomorrow is the New Moon in Sagittarius. Thursday is Thanksgiving in the United States. Lots of energy flying around!
Whether you believe in the power of numerology, astrology, or observing this American holiday traditionally or with a bow to an awareness of Native American heritage, something’s (actually lots of things) going on for you this week.
Let’s start with the numbers. 11.22 represents your higher purpose and spiritual growth. The number 22 is a powerful symbol of success and the capability to achieve desired results. So 11.22.22 brings the most favorable time to connect with and express your dharma (purpose).
This New moon in Sagittarius arrives at an auspicious time astrologically with planetary positions bringing a welcome air of positivity, vitality, and passion.
And then there’s Thanksgiving, the start of the holiday season of cheer or blues. If we go with the Hallmark version, it’s a good time for small town boys scoring the prettiest girl in town who is home for the holiday and city guys being kicked to the sophisticated curb, with everyone gathering together on the Big Day for a wholesome meal at a table laden with food. Although the real-life version is not necessarily the complete opposite, it can spark feelings of depression, grief, and pain.
So, I asked the cards this morning: What do we need to know today that will help us balance energies and navigate this week and beyond?
For this deck and configuration, the first (left) card represents what is falling away. The second (right) card reveals what is rising for you. (Perfect deck and spread for a New Moon!)
The Ever-Unfolding Rose. This card symbolizes what you may have been feeling this month after the full lunar eclipse…cracked open. But it also represents awareness of purpose—that things happen for you, not to you. Life is full of tragedies and losses as well as triumphs and wins. There are reasons we tend to remember the pain more than the glory: It’s the natural design of life. Hitting rock bottom gives us perspective and contrast. It also slows us down, giving us opportunity to learn and grow. Appearing first in this spread, The Rose is gently reminding us that possibility and hope are always ahead when we are ready to release the despair.
Answer the Call. The call from your soul may not appear on your phone with Caller ID, yet it is imprinted on your heart and rings with truth. What is your soul calling you to do? Only you can answer this call. Do it with an open mind and trusting heart. Don’t wait for permission or the perfect time; neither will arrive. Yet every sign in the Universe is saying, “Do it now.”
The candle of the New Moon burns brightly and fills the air with the fragrance of frankincense and clary sage. The quartz heart and dish of many stones support your heart and intentions.
Dear Readers, Please know that I am deeply grateful for your support. I send you heartfelt blessings and wishes for peace, love, and happiness.
Happy Thanksgiving!
My best, Shelley
