A big thank you and welcome to new readers who came to me and this newsletter via the Spiritual Fusions Psychic & Holistic Expo in August. It’s my pleasure and honor to meet you and have you join me here.

And hello again to current subscribers. I’ve been away on quite the journey these past few weeks—on the ground, in the air, and within myself. More about that in the next TGIF newsletter.

Tarot Tuesday

Spread for the Collective

Akashic Tarot cards by Sharon Anne Klingler and Sandra Anne Taylor. I Am Divine candle by ADORATherapy, Asheville

Have you recently been in some situation that required nonstop vigilence and strategic maneuvers? Whether in your personal or business life, that “constantly being on guard” feeling can be exhausting. If you haven’t felt this on a individual level, it’s likely you are feeling the collective energy of political or social conflicts.

Fortunately, The Chess Game card appears in the left (past) position of this spread, which indicates you’re coming out of this situation. A chess board represents a field of opposition, and pictured here, the bronze queen lies on her side, perhaps weary from overwhelm. I’ve placed red jasper on this card to protect against negative people.

The card in the center (present) position shows The Queen of Roses upright and looking toward the game board. She is focused on sending you the energy of the Rose, which is nurturing, protective, and creative. She has your back. I placed a selenite wand below her to clear all energies that do not serve the highest good and surround the playing field with clear, white light.

Winged Messengers appear in the right (future) position, indicating a dual or mixed message. The white dove carries a message of hope and peace. Yet also in the picture is a black hawk, bearing a missive of potential for more conflict ahead. The great news here is that your guardian angel is pictured high above it all, indicating that while it is wise to keep an eye out for possible unfavorable changes, you can still rest easy and know that you are protected by more powerful forces. I’ve placed black obsidian on this card to repel all negative energy.

Shelley Writes is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

At the top of the spread is the I Am Divine candle radiating pure, white light to surround and protect all who repeat the affirmation silently or aloud. It’s recommended that you close your eyes, take a few deep breaths, and see yourself engulfed in loving energy.

Once you are filled with the positive aspects of the light, ask for any signs or message regarding your path. Be alert to even the smallest sensation or vision. Then ask yourself how you can take one small step today in the direction indicated.

Thank you for reading Shelley Writes. This post is public so feel free to share it.

Thank you dear Shelley. This is exactly where I am. I know full well the need to advocate for my own cancer care. Once again I am reminded that other nurses and physicians don't follow my thought processes when addressing problems. I always take a concern to the end with thoughtful and intentional conversation along the way. Yesterday while at the Cancer Center receiving extra fluids I tried my best to teach a nurse to take additional steps and reach out to the doctor. I am not sure what stopped her, maybe fear. But in the end I had to make the decision to hold the next chemo until further discussion. My body was telling me it was not tolerating what was given last Tuesday.
