TAROT TUESDAY
Words, thoughts, and ideas are the harbingers of change. Powerful energy surrounds language, spoken or unspoken. Although all living things can perceive and respond to vibrational energy, only the human species can direct the flow with intention.
We are on the precipice of significant evolutionary change. You don’t have to be psychic or even highly sensitive to feel it. If you are breathing and awake, you likely know, see, or sense something new and different around you. But how are you responding?
Whether your inclination is to ignore, resist, or embrace change, it’s happening. The only aspect in your direct control is how you respond—and you have a great deal more influence than you might believe.
Today’s spread for the collective speaks to empower you to develop the gifts you already have and forge the new way to suit yourself.

2 of Scrolls: Two Worlds. This card represents the energy you’re bringing to the current situation. Two Worlds is a metaphor for possible conflict, but definitely opposing viewpoints. On an individual level, it could be between your inner and outer worlds (soul vs human), meaning your heart longs for something that has not yet manifested in your outer world. Perhaps a lifestyle, lover, or career? On the collective level, it refers to the prevailing discord among classes, races, nations, sexes/genders, and belief systems.
King of Scrolls. Being the card of the present, here is where your power lies. Scrolls is the suit of ideas, imagination, and possibility. The King represents masculine (authoritative) energy in the area of communications.
The key to using the King of Scrolls effectively is to master your use of language. “Be impeccable with your word,” is the first and most important of The Four Agreements, as stated by Don Miguel Ruiz in his book of the same title.
Your word creates your world, so be mindful how you speak, think, and write. According to Ruiz,
“The word is your power of creation, and that power can be used in more than one direction. One direction is impeccability, where the word creates a beautiful story — your personal heaven on earth. The other direction is misuse of the word, where the word destroys everything around you, and creates your personal hell.”
The Ark of the Covenant. This card representing a sacred agreement appears in the third, or future, position. In most three-card spreads, and especially in this one, the third card is the potential outcome. It means that what you create for the future is dependent on what you do in the present.
So if you want to create a loving, harmonious relationship with another, speak kind, caring words and phrases. If you desire more financial abundance, start noticing and giving gratitude for abundance in every area of your life. Nature is a great place to start admiring fullness and beauty. If you seek peace, be peaceful in your verbal approach to others. Be mindful what your words project into the world, even if no one is around you to hear…so that means no yelling at other drivers on the road :)
Although the Ark in this reading could represent a legal or social contract with another, it has a deeper, more important significance. The Ark of the Covenant signifies a soul, or karmic, contract with yourself. It’s a reminder to reflect on what you consider to be your purpose and to assess if your actions align with your intentions.
This card in the third position indicates that by minding the message of the King of Scrolls and maintaining consistent use of words, thoughts, and ideas congruent with your purpose, you will be well on your way to creating the future you want.
