TAROT TUESDAY

Hello, and welcome new subscribers from the Spiritual Fusions Psychic & Holistic Fair!
Very often in today’s culture when asked about their assets, most people start adding up the value of their material possessions. To me (and possibly you too), however, true value means inherent worth and comes only from what cannot be taken away or lost…so, sorry your home, boat, possessions, and investments don’t count in this survey :)
Yet many of us have difficulty in calculating our self-worth, and as a result undervalue ourselves and our gifts. And that’s exactly what today’s reading addresses.
In this two-card reading using different decks for the first and second cards, the questions were (1) What does the collective need to know or do? and (2) What action steps need to be taken?
Card #1. Rhodochrosite: Remember your worth. Many people are their own worst critics and spend more time reflecting on their perceived faults rather than assets. This card is a reminder to focus on your character traits and skills that bring value to your life and others. Attributes such as authenticity, loyalty, and respect contribute positive energy to the collective and their innate value can’t be overestimated. Skills, however, are often overlooked as valuable assets. People tend to discount things they’re good at, perhaps because these abilities come easily to them—yet often those skills are highly necessary and even coveted by others. Which bring us to…
Card #2. Number 57: Teaching and Learning. Knowledge, whether gained via academia or experience, certainly is valuable to have and share. Teaching others in a classroom or as a mentor, parent, or role model is one of the greatest gifts you can give to another. Skills, while a more tangible commodity, tend to be undervalued as assets unless directly related to work you get paid for. Yet preparing nutritious meals helps keep a family healthy; gardening can provide food as well as fragrant blossoms to smell and visual delights to enjoy; being able to tell a good story entertains others; creative arts bring visual and functional benefits to others in the form of paintings, photography, ceramics, and more; and the list goes on and on.
I see the message of this reading as a heads up to take stock of your intrinsic, unique worth as seriously as you might attend to your financial portfolio. Remember, you cannot bring any material items with you into the next or afterlife, but who you are at the soul level is eternal. Managing your personal assets wisely serves you and the collective now and in the future.
I’ve added a pouch of lavender to soothe your spirit and the I Speak My Truth affirmation candle to bolster your confidence and presence in the world. The self-value you assess for yourself will be reflected back by others, so know your true worth and don’t accept less.
Namaste. Until next time… My best, Shelley
